1972 - At age 12 I built my first dark room where I developed
and printed my own black and white photography.
I maintained a darkroom until 2001.
1976 – 1983
I joined the Australian Army at age 17 where I was trained in
numerous capacities including Radio Operator,
telecommunications operator, cipher operator
and analyst working at various locations
throughout Australia. It was in Canberra
during the Falkland’s war while I was running
the Minister of Defence’s private
communication centre that my skills as a
photographer came to the Army’s attention and I
was subsequently used in that capacity on a
number of occasions throughout my enlistment.
1983 -1984 Diploma of Photography

1984-1985

1985-1991 Opened my first studio in Brisbane City
servicing numerous advertising agencies, model
agencies, acting agencies, fashion designers and
the theatre.
Started professional training in make-up and hair styling which
was completed in 1987.
1989-1991 Commenced teaching photographic and dark-room
technique classes at various locations
throughout Queensland.
1991-1993
Moved to Tokyo, Japan where I established a
leading photographic studio specialising in
fashion photography and also gained a good
working understanding of
Japanese. During this period I continued to fly
back to Australia for numerous fashion campaigns
in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

Fashion
Magazines, editorial and paid advertising.

1994-2009 Moved back to Brisbane , Australia and opened a new
photographic studio in Brisbane City in
1994 and at the same time I commenced
training in the use of computers with photography (Photoshop) and was
one of the first photographers in
Australia able to shoot digitally,
retouch and supply my end product to
commercial clients on CD-ROM/DVD.
2005 - Awarded Membership to the:-
'World
Institute of Professional
Masters'.
2005 - I received full training in creating web sites
from data base driven through to flash.
How to, build, maintain and update them
which combined well with my photography
skills as I can instantly add images
and change content of websites.
2008 - I created
picsfix as
an easy solution for people wishing to
have their photographs enhanced.
Today - I am without doubt the busiest fashion photographer in
Australia shooting on average 15 jobs per
week. I maintain reasonable prices for
my work as I get much more personal
satisfaction from creating than I do
from
charging.
